Step 1

Understand Kristal Blue Aqua Certification Mark

Kristal Blue Aqua is a certification mark that sets high standards to ensure the best quality drinking water. KBA is focused on the HoReCa sector, where establishments serve water to customers and companies that provide tap water for their employees. Kristal Blue Aqua is a guardian of high-quality tap drinking water.

Step 2

Complete the Registration Form and Provide Necessary Documents

After completing the form, we will contact you within 7-10 working days to request documents and guide you through the preparation process, which includes purchasing equipment to ensure high-quality tap water.

Step 3

Use the Label Correctly and Effectively

The final step is to use the label correctly and effectively. Once all requirements have been met, we will grant you the right to use the label on all water-related products. We will provide you with a certificate and stickers with the label to display prominently for your customers. Your establishment will be listed in our publicly viewable database, and you will be promoted as an authorized KBA label user on our channels.

Legal entities should have a valid and functional VAT number.

Required Tools to Become a Proud User of the Kristal Blue Aqua Label:

  1. UVC Sterilization System: To serve the highest quality tap water, Authorized Users should have a water filter (e.g., Carbon filter with or/and Ion Exchange) with a UVC sterilization system installed. This ensures a fresh taste and the absence of harmful particles such as microorganisms, bacteria, fungi, viruses, and pyrogens. The system should be checked regularly and filters replaced according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  2. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) Meter: TDS refers to the number of dissolved solids in tap water. A higher value indicates more pollution in the water. Authorized Users should provide a functional TDS meter to every certified tap water consumer upon request, ensuring it is properly charged and operational at all times.
  3. Reusable Glass Bottles*: These bottles should be appropriately sized (0.5 – 2.0 liters) and dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning and water sterilization. They must be used exclusively for serving certified water under the Mark and sterilized with a sterilization/disinfection tool. The bottles may only display personalized engravings of the company using them, with the option to include the Mark and company logo using non-dissolvable ink. Stickers and additional patterns or notes are not allowed due to frequent sterilization and washing.
  4. Sterilization/Disinfection Tool*: This can be a box or fridge equipped with a UVC (UV) sterilization system, ensuring safe use by staff and consumers. All applicable equipment safety rules must be strictly followed.

*These tools/steps are not required if the Mark is used in places where Authorized Users do not serve water in reusable glass bottles, such as public water fountains, or when water is directly served from the tap in a glass or personal reusable bottles of the consumers.
